WHAT'S NEW

    Susan Schlesinger
Susan is trying her hand at being a stay-at-home-mom for the first time in 25 years, and has joined the blogosphere to kvetch about the experience. (Check it out at www.knitadrift.com.) She's teaching occasionally at The Grove at Juniper & 30th and other area shops, and is planning some one-day themed knitting retreats in our area. To inquire about private knitting, crocheting, and sewing lessons, you can email her at susan@bonitaknitting.com or find her on Facebook and Ravelry.
    Kathy Flores
Kathy is working and teaching classes at Border Leather, located on Broadway in Chula Vista. She will continue encouraging and assisting knitters and crocheters at all skill levels, always infusing the element of fun! You can also find her on ravelry (sundiego) and facebook, or email her at kathyflores113@sbcglobal.net. Kathy hopes to see you there!
    Tania Marshall
Tania, the practicing clinician from Bonita Knit & Sew, can be found most Saturday afternoons at Border Leather, knitting and chatting. It's just crafters getting together to hang out, help each other, and expand their abilities.
    Janelle Garchie
Janelle has continued in her current profession as a stay-at-home grandma while at the same time joining in on as many knitting get-togethers as possible. She is working on her legendary yarn and knitting project stash as well!
    The 3/50 Project
Check out this amazingly simple newest plan to boost the economy. For every $100 spent in locally owned independent stores, $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll, and other expenditures. If you spend that in a national chain, only $43 stays here. Spend it online and NOTHING stays here.
